105.0 The World
World and Celtic music station that replaces Ezzzy 105.0 after Ultor's buyout at 50% completion. Stevie J keeps hosting but his commentary turns bitter and sarcastic.
Overview
105.0 The World is Saints Row 2's world music station. It only exists post-Ultor buyout: until 50% game completion the same frequency is 105.0 Ezzzy FM, an easy listening station. After the buyout Ultor swaps the entire format and the playlist for a curated mix of world, Celtic and traditional folk music.
Stevie J after the buyout
Stevie J keeps his job as DJ but his personality changes completely. The laid-back, cheerful Ezzzy version is gone; the post-Ultor Stevie J is bitter, sarcastic and audibly depressed. He regularly encourages listeners to boycott the new format on air.
Tracklist
There are 21 tracks on the bank, weighted heavily toward Celtic and Eastern European folk. Greg Knowles & Mike Taylor account for four entries (Over the Moor to Maggie, Humours of Glen Dart, Drumjig, Connaught Chase). Ravi Shani's Bangara Dance, Roger Abaji's Zahrat El Sahra, Liza Carbe & Jean Pierre Durand's El Viento En La Isla and Mambo De Fito, plus Friedrich Sehl's Hungarian Sundance round out the international selections.
Trivia
The audio bank includes 5 unused weather report intros. The intros mention Max Storm, a fictional weatherman also referenced in the in-game Channel 6 billboard advertisements, but the segments themselves are never triggered.
